GT Puzzles is an upcoming jigsaw puzzle brand that features Pakistani art, culture, and heritage on its puzzle designs.
From everyday streetscapes to majestic mountains, GT Puzzles collaborates with local artists to create 1000pc puzzles featuring their digital artwork.
With the unique positioning of the product in mind, we used our step-by-step toolkit and conducted some workshops to help the GT Puzzle team verbalize their brand positioning and story.
GT Puzzles derived their name from the Grand Trunk Road, a historic pathway that runs through the subcontinent.
We drew inspiration from the architecture that ran along this route to come up with a visual identity.
The Tomb of Dai Anga, located along the Grand Trunk Road on one of the former routes between Lahore and Delhi.
Drawing from the predominent geometric shapes in the region’s architecture, we crafted the logo to have traditional form juxtaposed with contemporary style.
Stamps and currency stood out as another element of visual culture in Pakistan.
The idea of both items being of collectable nature tied in well with the brand.
We deconstructed the logo to extract these easily pairable elements that will consistently run through all branding material as patterns.
